From the View drop down box,
located toward the top of most item data tab pages, you can generate
a summary of the items relevant to that tab. Choose a filter option
from the View drop down box and click the Go! button. A summary
of all items matching your selection will be displayed. To view
an item in detail, click the item name or title, which is underlined
to signify that it can be selected.
Creating
Custom Views
You can create custom views that allow you to apply filters and
choose which fields you want to be displayed.
Click the
Create Custom View button located to
the right of the View section toward the top of the tab page. This
will take you to the
Custom View page.
- Enter a name for your custom view in the Step 1
text field.
- Now choose any combination of filtering criteria located in
Step 2.
- Choose a column to filter from the Column Name
drop down box. The columns that are available will depend on
what data type (Contact, Account etc.) you are creating the
view for.
- Choose a filter type. If, for example, you are looking for
an exact match, use the equals filter. If you
want to find items created before a particular date, use the
less than filter etc.
- Enter the value that you want to search for. Type this value
in the Value field.
- Choose the fields you want to display in Step 3.
- Click the Save button to save your custom
view.
- Your custom view will now be available in the View
drop down box located on the home tab page of the data type
(Contact, Account etc.) you created it for.
Editing and Deleting Custom
Views
- Select your custom view from the View drop
down box located toward top of the tab page.
- Click the Edit view button located to the
right of the drop down box.
Edit
- Make your changes to the custom view.
- To save your changes, click the Update
button located below Step 3.
- If you want to leave the page without saving your changes,
click the Cancel button located below Step
3.
Delete
- To delete the custom view, click the Delete
button located below Step 3.
- Click the Cancel button located below
Step 3 if you do not want to delete the
custom view.
