In Salesboom, leads are managed with a dedicated profile that records their source, status, and all interaction history until they are ready to be converted into an account.

A lead is an unqualified prospect—someone who has shown interest but hasn't yet been confirmed as a customer or business relationship. An account is a verified company or organization with an established connection to your business, such as a customer, partner, or investor. When a lead is ready to move forward, Salesboom converts it into an account (and linked contact) with a single click, preserving all existing data.

Salesboom offers two methods for adding leads. Use Quick Addition from the Leads tab when you want to capture a lead fast without entering all details upfront—additional information can be filled in later. Use the New Leads link for Detailed Addition when you want to build a comprehensive lead profile from the start. Both methods are accessible directly from the Leads tab page.

To convert a lead, navigate to the Leads tab, open the lead you want to convert, and click the Convert button. After confirming the action, Salesboom automatically creates a new Account using the lead's information and generates a linked Contact record. This eliminates manual data re-entry and keeps your pipeline moving without interruption.

From the Forecasts section, click the New Forecasts link and select the quarter you want to plan for. Once created, click Edit to begin categorizing your opportunities based on likelihood to close and enter your monthly quota targets. Use the Recalculate button at any time to update the forecast as your pipeline evolves, giving you an accurate, real-time view of projected revenue versus target.

Salesboom provides several built-in lead reports accessible from both the Leads tab and the Reports tab. The Neglected Leads report identifies prospects that haven't been followed up on.
